The Placencia Marina - Belize
The Placencia Marina - Belize
If you have cruised through Belize the past couple years, you may have noticed a new breakwater being built north of Placencia Village.

New managers John and Maxine White (Whitey and Max) are now accepting reservations for all vessels.

As the only protected marina on the ocean between Mexico and Roatan, ‘The Placencia Marina’ has wide entrances with depths of 23 feet.  It is located 2nm North of False Cay off the Placencia Peninsula.  The North East entrance is located at N16 38’165 W088 19’592.

The Placencia Marina accommodates yachts of all sizes.  The first stage of this marina development has 30 double slips of 35-50 foot lengths on a floating dock with double slips for catamarans and a fixed pier that can take mega yachts up to 200 feet in length.

Water is now available and fuel can be available upon request. Electricity will be available by the end of this summer. The staff can assist in clearing you and your vessel in to Belize territory (with advance notice).

This destination marina offers more than your average marina.  As part of The Placencia Hotel, marina guests will have access to the swimming pool and restaurants.

Just down the road is Maya Beach that is home to numerous restaurants and a grocery store. Taxi’s are available to take you to Placencia Village which is located 9 miles south of the Hotel and Marina.

The Placencia Marina has daily and monthly rates.  Reservations are encouraged and can be made at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it or through the main office of the resort +501 533 4111.
