The Host

If you’ve been on the Rio any length of time, you’ve seen it as it makes it way into Lago Izabal and down the rio, heading to the Sapotillo Cayes and beyond.

The Host is the flag ship of  Servicios Navales del Rio SA, a Guatemalan company founded in 2005 which builds and operates metal charter boats operating in the Gulf of Honduras (including Guatemala, Belize and Honduras). 

Quad stateroom

Equipped with three quad staterooms with private bath, The Host can accommodate 12 persons (3 more can be accommodated in temporary beds) for all inclusive charter trips for three or four nights. 

Charter guests can be picked up in Guatemala City in a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter mini bus (included in the charter fee) and brought to the Rio Dulce. Guests then enjoy trips to Finca El Paraiso, Livingston and the Sapotillo Cays.

Galley

The Host is now offering an all-inclusive three day weekend (Friday through Sunday) charter package for $1,150 per room (4 guests per room ... $287.50 per person).

That includes all meals, taxes, snorkeling, kayaking, round trip transportation from Guatemala City or Antigua. Scuba diving excursions are $35 USD per person.
