Cool Change in the Rio Dulce Regatta
Many of us had the pleasure of meeting the crew of SV Cool Change when they spent ten weeks on the Rio Dulce. Andrew (Bru), Scottie, and Brandon (affectionately known as "the kids" around the more senior cruisers at Tortugal Marina), and the honorary 4-legged captain of the boat, Peanut, immersed themselves in, both, the local Maya and the Rio Dulce cruising communities.

They navigated the rio and surrounding waterways, explored our lush jungles...even to the extent of climbing a very tall mahogany tree and swinging hammocks between the branches for a nighttime adventure. They participated (and won a race) in the Semana Santa regatta in Cayo Quemado, attended International Trivia games, swap meets, and lent helping hands to the Pass It On charitable organization with a trip to a remote village, where they made a solar electricity installation.

The Chisme Vindicator received an email from Andrew and the rest of the crew that included a lovely surprise...a link to their video of the time they spent here on the rio. The video, itself, will not post on our website, but you can access it here. All three of the guys are filmmakers, and Andrew is a top-notch editor, evidenced by the extremely professional result. You are sure to enjoy seeing familiar places and faces, which will remind you why we all love life on the Rio Dulce. Be sure to check it out!

Equally enjoyable are the still photos of the Cool Change rio journey on their website here. (www.seachangelog.com) Check it out, too!

Thanks for emailing us, Cool Guys on Cool Change! We hope your future adventures will be exciting and rewarding...and hope that maybe, one day, we will see you, again, on the Rio Dulce!
