(Editor's Note: This was received by email from s/v Rendevous.)
We just received the news that the French catamaran, Ti-Bag with Brigitte and Jean-Pierre, were attacked last night in Guanaja. They are fine but Jean-Pierre received some punches from the attackers. They stole money, computers, telephone etc. They were very shook up. The attack happened in the middle of the night and there were about 12 other boats in the anchorage. All the other boats have left the anchorage.
Could you please inform the boaters in The Chisme and see if anyone could transmit this info in the NW Caribbean Net to prevent other incidents,
Thank you,
Peter and Francine (We are in Chichicastanango)

I have reposted this on my Facebook page and also on La Gringa's and the Guanaja, Honduras Facebook pages.
I'm sure Guanaja, Honduras will not appreciate the negitive post but that is a page that people will look at for information about Guanaja and Honduras. Honduras needs to take some action to protect their tourist industry. Until then everyone needs to be warned to stay away from Honduras. _________________ I have been asked...what do you old folks do now that you're retired? Roland Rumm reports on the Guanaja Facebook page: The robbers are behind Bars in Roatan!!!!!!!!! They were caught the day after the atack and shipped off to prison immediately.
In a followup he wrote: "Thank you John... The people on Guanaja are very upset about everything because they're really proud of their island being a safe place. So they do the best to keep it that way."
