|
|
I have just received the following email from Regan and Yoli of Yoli’s Bar in Placencia who has been in touch with the BPA about their charging.
Regan suggests you may want to print out the Port Authority email in case you to show it to somebody. I have Mr Flowers letter in word format if anyone want it.

Dear Mr. Regan:
The Authority has reviewed numerous complaints and reports received from Masters of foreign pleasure vessels of the 15 GRT range including yourself that would like to sail our waters, but felt that our charges were little out of range.
We have completed an exercise of the viewed problems and agreed to try a reduce rate of fifty percent (50%) of the Authorized Marine and Port Dues for a six (6) months period – effective February 1, 2011.
“All foreign pleasure/recreational vessels 20 GRT or less will be given a 50% discount and waiver on the payment of competency pilotage”.
“Vessels of 20 GRT and greater will be required to pay all Marine and Port dues in accordance with amended SI 143, of 2004 edition. “
Example:
a. Foreign pleasure yacht – 38 ft/ 15 GRT. arrive in country and wish to stay for 30 days.
(1) The first 48 hour will cost $100.00 BD
(2) The next 28 days will be $5.00 per day $140.00 BD
b. Therefore, a 30 days stay in Belizean port/waters will cost a total of $240.00 BD or $120.00 USD.
NB: These charges will be the same at all Port for the Authority.
Sincerely,
Major (Ret’d) JMA Flowers
Ports Commissioner |

Thank you, Rule B. Yes, we would like the e-mail in WORD format. Please check your private message for our e-mail address. And many thanks to Regan and Yoli for their help - we will be sure to patronize their place even more! _________________ "It always takes longer and costs more money." |

This is a sort of roundabout way to download the original Word document sent to Rule Britannia but until our webmaster finds time to teach me a simpler way, try this:
"HERE"
It's in a rather awkward format but once you download it, you can clean it up so it's printable. |

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
for your birthday present i will teach you the "simpler"
way to do that.
1) ignore the request - it's your birthday.
or
2) butt out - because she was just taking R.B. up on his
offer to email the word doc.
yer welcome
