my dear friends:
I have to admit I misjudgedd a lot of people in the forums, (chisme’s. latts and atts’, cnn’s and many others) I have been following the threads since the Drayden Attack’… bottom line is, what we all have to understand, is that all these opinions and posts and comments, are actually the peoples ways of saying they care. is just that people use different words: some kind, some concerned, some harsh. People who live in the Rio care about their home! people sailing care about their friends and themselves and their safety, same as we do here in Rio Dulce. I think is important to understand that in order to stop all the going back and forth of unkind messages… replies that are understandable, but not always fare, we have to remember that the bottom line of this is we all care.
cheers!
V. |

Elpolvo... I agree, maybe val should be a moderator of her own topic area. I would like to see a topic area on the chisme for example, thats great or whats right or so, this would be an area where We could post the nice things that happen to us or happen on the river. Enough time is spent dwelling on the BAD, how Often do we hear of what good has happened. We always seem to complain instead of praise, maybe thank the big yacht that slowed to wakeless instead of focusing on the ones that don't. I think this special area should receive only positive comments and any thing posted negative would be deleted. It takes mental exercise also to have a positive attitude, just as one must lift weights to have muscle. Thanks..I know I wandered but thats me |

No offense Richard but I don't think it would be possible for you to contain your happiness, and if you did you wouldn't be you.
Stay the way you are...and save a smile for me.

I been tryin' to pick a fight in the Latts and Atts Forum for three days but all they want to talk about is blue toenails and what a cool guy Buddy the "Louisiana Lawyer" is.
Their Forum has no continuity at all. They love to criticize but refuse to answer when confronted.
I won't be wasting my time on that "so called Cruisers Forum" anymore.
They call themselves a Cruisers Forum but they talk about blue toenails. I sure hope no more of them come here.
From now on every time Johana tells me about a dead burnt body delivered to the steps of the Police station I will be sure to warn them what a dangerous place the Rio is. |

I might have to disagree... here is my humble opinion: it takes mental exercise to control anger, a positive attitude is a matter of perspective.
any ways...
cheers my friends! keep those smileys coming!!!! |

Hi Don, Yes I read all the replies today on latts and atts.I saw your latest post. You know I respect what other people have to say, but why do you want to keep it stirred up??? There were posts defending the river. I think one of them said that the river post had worn itself out. I find the best way to win an argument is to drop one end of the rope, there is then no more tug of war. I would like to mention though the last fight I got in to I won by dragging the guy into submission as he had a hold of my leg and I was running away.
Budman, I am happy you shared seeing a butterfly.
I think it is always good to greet someone with a smile and kind word,as you have no idea what kind of day they are having and you could turn it around and possibly save their life.
Do I ever have a bad day? People ask?? Sure but why burden them with it, Keep a smile and help make someone Else's day be better, and mine will improve.

Hi Val, I am going to have to learn to cut quotes and paste I don't think your disagreeing, I think it is all semantics as long as we achieve the same thing. I think your one of the best things that's happened to the river, Luv ya
