EVENT NOTICE
Canceled for now. Sorry, just too much going on right now for this one. I'll do it after the 1st of January.
Roaming the seas for near onto 40 years, Captain John ran across a lot of ways to prepare food and now that he's dropped the anchor in the Rio Dulce he thought maybe others might enjoy some of the taste treats he's learned about.
Currently The Captain's Galley is only open when announced or by special reservation. If you would like for the Captain to prepare one of his special meals for a group of 4 to 10 people, give him a call.
The menu at The Captain's Galley will include Texas Slow Cooked Bar B-Q, Steaks, Seafood, Mexican & Asian Cuisine. Watch here for details of upcoming events. _________________ I have been asked...what do you old folks do now that you're retired? Well..I'm fortunate to have a chemical engineering background, and one of the things I enjoy most is turning beer, wine, Scotch , and margaritas into urine.

i ate at capn john's last week when he served the slow cooked BBQ
beef brisket, with cloe slaw and roasted/baked onion and tomato con queso.
i told him it was the best plate of food i have ever sampled in guatemala.
i wasn't lying... it rivals anything i've had anywhere.
he is one super chef.
i can't wait to try his mexican cuisine.

Ditto, polvo. That slow-cooked brisket is outstanding. Even Mike at Texan Bay (another great Texan chef) gave it five stars.
Capt. John, put the Chisme staff down for 5 reservations when you do the Mexican dinner. |
