Thank you to all of our wonderful supporters so far in this year's toydrive! We have had a great success so far with lots of toys coming in, and with all the cash donations from the nonshoppers, I was able to buy 288 in the city! (incendentally it was at a great place called ACMA and it is where Gaby's Bazarre gets a lot of the stuff they bring in! Check it out if you are in the city, they are a few blocks from Pricesmart!)
It is always such a pleasure to have the community involved and we are looking forward to seeing lots of boats head down on the evening of the 24th in the Parade of Lights! Everyone is invited!
Never been to Casa Guatemala for Christmas Eve? Read about our tradition here in this archived Chisme article!

Heather, last night I announced this at Trivia and some of the boaters were interested, but wanted to know if they can dock (or anchor) their boats and stay overnight at Casa Guat. They said it is difficult getting into their slips at night, so once they are out, they don't want to attempt returning late. Is that feasible?

It sounds like fun - hope lots of people can go!

Thanks!
jody

Jody ... I did that for a couple of years, just anchored the Steel Magnolia in the bay in front of Casa Guatemala for the night and went home in the a.m. Much, much safer and besides, local fishermen have their nets out about that time and you could snag them leaving after dark.

Hey all!
Thanks for the plug Jody! We would love to have the boats come down and they are welcome to anchor in the bay there. Its a really nice bay and its no problem for us. Dock space is limited as there are lots of boats that come with kids but dinghy parking is feasible. Hope to see lots of you there!
Heather
