When click on it I get a request for the site to run the following add on:

"2007 Microsoft Office Component"

Umm, No I dont think I want to do that, unless someone can give me a good reason to.

I had the same problem recently. It started after some updates. I had to go into Office setting and kill the "office assistant" again. Microsoft's cutsey things just drive me nuts.

I have been buying the Eset anti-virus from a chap here in Los Amates for the last couple of years. I am sure that it is available in the Rio as many people use this program.
Since I started using Eset I have not had the usual problems like the one described above. In fact I have been navigating without any problems whatsoever. I turn my Windows firewall off and away I go.
The best thing is that this program can be bought here, in a sealed package, for around Q200 which is less than the on-line cost is. At least it was until the dollar took such a steep dive.
If you want to navigate without these nagging problems I believe that it is well worth it to invest a couple of hundred Qs and buy this excellent program.
