Hi folks
I was playing around with the idea of a new years day race,
What a great way to start off the new year.
An idea of the race would be around the Brunos, Nana Juana, and down stream for a bit. Then after maybe we could all head over to the Mar Marine Karaoke night to sing the night away.
I am up for a race if any other boats are interested then just post your interest here.
A really fun type of race is called a persuit race where basically the slowest boat crosses the line first and then the next slowest and the fastest boat leaves last. Then you can really be a part of the race as u can always see exactly how u are doing.
It will be a fun relaxed race and also a great way to get the cobwebs off the sails
So anyone interested?
Open to ideas
a good idea to bring more sailing and playing to the rio, however on the main holidays there is heavy traffic and noise so I stay away (personal)...
I am new to the sport, I would love to be part of a more active movement to promote and learn about sailing (long term, organized approach), it would be a good thing for the rio, tourists and locals, making use of a lot of hardware, experience, adding a beautiful attraction, having fun, going sailing.
I hope you get something going, feliz navidad Marco

.... makes a good point. generally, tho, the busy traffic heads back to the city mid day sunday. might be a better date for a race, only one day to get over the hangovers _________________ what other people think of me

Not sure if the lago is wide enough to help u with the crunch factor.

I'm getting in late on the 31st, but if anybody needs some extra help, I'll be on my boat at Bruno's in the AM, probably sleeping in the cockpit (as i can't seem to find my padlock keys).
